"After finishing school, I started my apprenticeship as a chef at the ATLANTIC Hotel Galopprennbahn in August 2016. I found out about the apprenticeship in the traditional way, through an online job advertisement. As with any chef apprenticeship, it was part of my job to gain practical experience in service as well as spending time in the kitchen. During my time in the service sector, I quickly realised that my passion lies more in direct contact with guests than in the kitchen. That's why I decided to change my training and continue on the path to becoming a restaurant specialist.

I really enjoyed my apprenticeship and I think I can confidently say that I received excellent, comprehensive training in the departments that were part of my apprenticeship. After three years, I successfully completed my apprenticeship in July 2019 – and I was particularly pleased to receive a job offer from Mr. Kohlhase (Hotel Manager, ATLANTIC Hotel Galopprennbahn) immediately afterwards.

At the top left it says ‘ATLANTIC Career Path’.

So I continued to work as a service employee at the ATLANTIC Hotel Galopprennbahn, where I was able to gain valuable experience in various positions over the next few years.

‘I have always had great colleagues and supervisors from whom I have been able to learn a lot.’

In 2021, I was given the opportunity to prove myself as Deputy Event Services Manager, and a year later I took on the position of Assistant F&B Manager, taking on a whole new set of responsibilities.

After working closely with the F&B Manager for a year and regularly deputizing for him in his duties, I was offered the position of F&B Manager in 2023.
I knew this role would involve new and more extensive responsibilities, which I really enjoyed. From that moment on, I took care of everything in the F&B department and was given new responsibilities, such as ordering, staff planning and conducting job interviews.

After a short external break, I decided to move to Restaurant gottlieb in 2024 to take on new professional challenges and further my professional development. My responsibilities have changed somewhat here, as we have more exclusive and different events here at the Mercedes customer centre.’"
