How long have you been working at the ATLANTIC Hotel Vegesack?
AG: I've been working here since August 1, 2024.

What did you do before that?
AG: Before I started at the ATLANTIC Hotel Vegesack, I was a caretaker at the Hotel Strandlust in Vegesack. I worked there for over 30 years before the hotel closed.

How did you find out about the ATLANTIC Hotel Vegesack?
AG: I was looking for a new job and applied for a temporary position at the ATLANTIC Hotel Vegesack. The hotel manager then offered me a permanent position. The hotel is well known if you come from the area.

What makes the hotel special for you?
AG: A great atmosphere and very nice people on our team.

Do you have a favorite spot at the ATLANTIC Hotel Vegesack?
AG: I like the entire hotel. The restaurant with the terrace is really beautiful, and I also really like the rooms.

What are your responsibilities at the hotel?
AG: I have many different responsibilities. In housekeeping, for example, I distribute the laundry and take care of the housekeeping storage rooms on the floors. But I also do small repairs, such as oiling door locks and bleeding radiators. In addition, I take care of receiving deliveries, check the goods, and sometimes help out in the kitchen with the washing up.

 

What is something you can't live without?
AG: I'm a huge soccer fan and couldn't do without watching soccer.

What are you known for among your colleagues?
AG: For always being fun to be around.

What else would you like to experience this year?
AG: I just want to stay healthy.

Do you have any leisure tips for us in Bremen-Vegesack?
AG: Go for a walk along the Weser.

Where were you born and raised?
AG: I was born and raised in Turkey and came to Germany when I was 25.

AG: … I watch soccer and meet up with friends.
